1. How did you two meet? Tell the story of how you got to know each other and decided to marry.
2. Do you have siblings? Do the boys have cousins?
3. I know you decided to adopt to add to your family without pursuing pregnancy, right? How did you decide on Haiti? Did you ask for two kids at once or were you surprised?
4. What are some things about family life, parenting, or kids that you've experienced that were unexpected? Anything unexpected about adoptive parenting in particular?
5. Have you decided whether or not to add another child?
6. I am now about a quarter of the way through your book, Heather, so I am accumulating some questions related to topics there. Would it be okay if I asked you about them some time?
Hi heather and braydon: I really don't have a question, but love following the boys' journey. :) Oh wait! here's one- I am nowhere near potty training time yet (Malía is 9 months old) but am terrified already. Any tips? :) (or maybe you blogged about it and I missed it b/c I am recent addition to your faithful readers. :)
Wait I thought of a question I'd REALLY like the answer to. :)
Will you be taking the boys back to see Haiti, learn about their culture etc.? Will you wait until they get curious, or take them as soon as they are just a little older. (and can I come? I'll be your guide and translator and the boys can take turns carrying Malía! lol ;)
~ PARTY OF FIVE ~ The Johnson-McCormick Family Blog
About Our Blog
The Johnson-McCormick Family Blog is a blog spot for sharing the scoop on our little family's big life! We are Heather, Braydon, Kyle, Owen, and Meera Johnson-McCormick. Kyle and Owen are twins- born May 8, 2004 in Cite Soleil, Port au Prince, Haiti- adopted January 31, 2005. We became a "Party of 5" when Meera Grace was born to us on May 28, 2008. We have a crazy, fun-filled life with 3 bambinos and 2 big careers all under 1 roof - The point of this blog is three-fold: 1) to keep friends and family posted on K, O, and M's goings on's and our life, 2) to create an historical document/journal/scrapbook of this wild ride, 3) to be out there in the blogosphere -- loud and proud -- doing what we can to support other adoptive/inter-racial families and dual-career families in their journeys. Thanks for reading and following along! As Kyle and Owen say, "It's a bumpy bumpy ride!"(in a good way!).
