Hi Prof. J!!

I have been a lurker on your site since it began. It is one of the highlights of my day reading your updates.

Even though my husband and I don't have children yet, I want you to know what an inspiration you and Brayden are to me.

It's encouraging to see that there are ppl that still do actually RAISE their children; that are active in their lives and control who/what elements they're children are exposed to.

You guys inspire me to commit now - before the kids are here - to raising my kids how I/we want: not to leave them endlessly tuned in to tvs, video games and music videos (don't get me started on music and music videos - we have kids that can't count but can recite the latest rap song).

I'm also inspired to try new things, meet new ppl, and be willing to push the bounds of my own comfort zone. They way you allow your boys to enjoy life and just LIVE is positive for adults, too.

Anyway, I know that the childhood you and Brayden have CHOSEN to give your children isn't cheap and isn't always easy, but I wanted to say kudos to each of you for being such excellent parents and role models.

I hope I can give my children as great a childhood as K & O have!!!

There's just so much I could say - I'm literally gushing with warm thoughts about the Johnson-McCormick clan - but I guess I'll just end by saying that you touch and change more lives than you know...and we're with you all the way chica!

Safiya,
Thank you so much for your note/'comment'...
Wow. Thank you. It really really made my day/week/month. It means so much to me to know you think those things. Thank you for sharing that with me.
I feel bad that I haven't been on the ball w/ your thesis. Let's start over---- will you please re-send it to me and I promise I'll take a look at it. Sorry I've let that fall through the cracks.
:)
