Hi Heather, I just wanted to tell you that you and your husband are doing an awesome job, your family is beautiful. My heart is filled with joy that there are kind hearted people out there like you and your husband that adopt and take care of children who need it. I am writing this to tell you guys forget about those idiot people who have said some hurtful and racist things to you about your photos. Those people have nothing better to do with there lives but try and bring others down because they are not happy, misery loves company. You do with your children as you please. I would cut out on the nude photos they were a bit much. There will be racist comments and hatred for the rest of the time we have on this earth but you know what f**k them you and your family are happy and that is all that matters if you choose to put your son's hair in twists then do it, if you want your kids to share the tub then do it almost everyone has taken a bath with a family member when they were little, I did. I want to personally apologize to you and your family for those ignorant people and there comments. GOD is good and as long as you remember that there is nothing anyone can say or do to you that will bring you down, smile in the devils face, shame him. And keep doing what you are doing. I don't know you and I just read the story today and felt the need to reach out to you. You are wonderful people and parents and I am proud of you guys. Don't let some idiots take away your glory, because god is smiling on you, your husband and your children, and he will continue to do so. Much love and many blessings to you and yours. I am so sorry you had to evven read the hateful comments, I apologize for all the people who did this to you. I am mixed black and white I have dealt with the hate, but god is good all the time.
I love your blog and love how well you take care of the kids I can tell they are loved! Ignorant people will be just that. Ignore the negative and embrace the positive. There is NOTHING wrong with your children having lox either. I have lox and I'm not Jamaican! I like them because they are natural, easy and beautiful! Keep up the good work!
Hi I just came across your blog and want to say that I admire your family and the foundation that you all have set for these three beautiful kids. Coming from an african american woman I am so pleased to see others embracing different cultures and ethnicities. Your family should be the poster child/family of america. How Fabulous, Love Nichole
~ PARTY OF FIVE ~ The Johnson-McCormick Family Blog
About Our Blog
The Johnson-McCormick Family Blog is a blog spot for sharing the scoop on our little family's big life! We are Heather, Braydon, Kyle, Owen, and Meera Johnson-McCormick. Kyle and Owen are twins- born May 8, 2004 in Cite Soleil, Port au Prince, Haiti- adopted January 31, 2005. We became a "Party of 5" when Meera Grace was born to us on May 28, 2008. We have a crazy, fun-filled life with 3 bambinos and 2 big careers all under 1 roof - The point of this blog is three-fold: 1) to keep friends and family posted on K, O, and M's goings on's and our life, 2) to create an historical document/journal/scrapbook of this wild ride, 3) to be out there in the blogosphere -- loud and proud -- doing what we can to support other adoptive/inter-racial families and dual-career families in their journeys. Thanks for reading and following along! As Kyle and Owen say, "It's a bumpy bumpy ride!"(in a good way!).
