Major Earthquake Hits Haiti

Please pray; if you don't pray, please send out positive vibes for a suffering country and its people.
And, if you can, please act, however you can.

I heard about this at work and immediately thought about your family. I am sending love and healing vibes to the Haitian people.

I don't know how I discovered your blog, but I have followed along for a few months, and your family is precious.

Heather, I was wondering if you might suggest a source for donations? I've collected some friends and we're pledging funds for relief, and since I believe in due diligence I want to make sure we send to the best source (with my limited amount of time to do the research) - I'd love a direction. I'm actually thinking Wyclef Jean's "Yele" - but the website won't load tonight (I hope on account of donations!).

Devastating. Where can I donate??
Sending love, prayers, and strength.

I just woke up to this news...looking at the images of the people in the streets I couldn't help but think of your family, and as I send out prayers to Haiti's people, I also want to tell you how grateful I am that through your family, I have become better aware of Haiti. Our world needs to become smaller in the right ways. Thanks for doing your part.

Your family immediatly came to mind. This all so heatbreaking. People need to give what they can, even its just a small amount. Or help raise awarness.

My boys and I just got a book about adoption and Haiti at the Good Will last week. It is the best book-colorful pictures and we have been talking about missionaries and adoption (our oldest is adopted). Our prayers go out in abundance. From, Chad, Terra, Henry, Oliver and Samuel in Missouri.

I came across this blog today. I thought you may be interested, although it seems to so easy to text a number and have money just fall out of the sky...What are your thoughts?

People can go to the American Red Cross website, there's a number you can dial to make donations in US$10.00 increments.

They are in dire need of help.

BTW, I live in the DR and found your blog a few months ago and always love reading about your family.
