Heather, I was wondering if you might suggest a source for donations? I've collected some friends and we're pledging funds for relief, and since I believe in due diligence I want to make sure we send to the best source (with my limited amount of time to do the research) - I'd love a direction. I'm actually thinking Wyclef Jean's "Yele" - but the website won't load tonight (I hope on account of donations!).
I just woke up to this news...looking at the images of the people in the streets I couldn't help but think of your family, and as I send out prayers to Haiti's people, I also want to tell you how grateful I am that through your family, I have become better aware of Haiti. Our world needs to become smaller in the right ways. Thanks for doing your part.
I hope you and your family is safe from this dreadful earthquake. I am journalist from India and looking for eye-witness who can talk about the scene out there. pls contact me at - rajennair29@yahoo.com or rajennair29@gmail.com
Your family immediatly came to mind. This all so heatbreaking. People need to give what they can, even its just a small amount. Or help raise awarness.
My boys and I just got a book about adoption and Haiti at the Good Will last week. It is the best book-colorful pictures and we have been talking about missionaries and adoption (our oldest is adopted). Our prayers go out in abundance. From, Chad, Terra, Henry, Oliver and Samuel in Missouri.
I came across this blog today. I thought you may be interested, although it seems to so easy to text a number and have money just fall out of the sky...What are your thoughts? http://www.whatisleft.org/lookie_here/2010/01/six-ways-you-can-help-in-haiti.html
~ PARTY OF FIVE ~ The Johnson-McCormick Family Blog
About Our Blog
The Johnson-McCormick Family Blog is a blog spot for sharing the scoop on our little family's big life! We are Heather, Braydon, Kyle, Owen, and Meera Johnson-McCormick. Kyle and Owen are twins- born May 8, 2004 in Cite Soleil, Port au Prince, Haiti- adopted January 31, 2005. We became a "Party of 5" when Meera Grace was born to us on May 28, 2008. We have a crazy, fun-filled life with 3 bambinos and 2 big careers all under 1 roof - The point of this blog is three-fold: 1) to keep friends and family posted on K, O, and M's goings on's and our life, 2) to create an historical document/journal/scrapbook of this wild ride, 3) to be out there in the blogosphere -- loud and proud -- doing what we can to support other adoptive/inter-racial families and dual-career families in their journeys. Thanks for reading and following along! As Kyle and Owen say, "It's a bumpy bumpy ride!"(in a good way!).

Praying and sending positive vibes to the people of Haiti. My heart breaks.
thoughts.
People can go to the American Red Cross website, there's a number you can dial to make donations in US$10.00 increments.
They are in dire need of help.
BTW, I live in the DR and found your blog a few months ago and always love reading about your family.
We have been thinking of your family. May support of all kinds help the country of Haiti and its people.
Trish
